VersaFEC™ Adaptive Coding & Modulation (ACM)

With the new CDM-625 version 1.4.0, the recently released VersaFEC next generation forward error correction now supports a patent pending Adaptive Coding and Modulation (ACM) mode of operation. VersaFEC was specifically designed to provide maximum coding gain at the lowest possible latency for Constant Coding and Modulation (CCM) and ACM modes of operation. Since VersaFEC uses a constant number of symbols per frame (as opposed to DVB-S2, which uses a constant number of bits per frame), VersaFEC ACM provides a significant reduction in system latency compared to DVB-S2 ACM.

MBT-5000 Up/Down Converter System

Leveraging the experience garnered from 15 years of market leadership in RF products, the new MBT-5000 provides frequency conversion between L-Band IF and C-/X-/Ku-Band RF frequencies. Featuring a drop down front panel providing access to two “hot swappable” frequency conversion modules, this unit offers either a mix of conversion functionality or 1:1 redundant system operation. The MBT-5000 is an excellent choice for the stringent reliability and performance requirements of many installations today.

CDM-740 Satellite Modem

The new CDM-740 Satellite Modem’s innovative, high performance architecture features an integrated DVB-S/S2 Receiver and a Turbo Product Coding (TPC) Single Carrier Per Channel (SCPC) Modulator. The combination of a shared, high speed outbound DVB-S/S2 carrier and TPC for the low latency data return channel facilitates efficient IP networking and transport over satellite.

DM240XR AutoEQ™ to 45 Msps

A new plug-in card and software for the advanced AutoEQ™ feature that increases equalization to 45 Msps for the DM240XR Digital Video Broadcast Modulator is now available. The modulator supports DVB-S2, as well as the original DVB-S and DVB-DSNG formats for digital video and data transport applications.

CDM-710G High-Speed Satellite Modem

The CDM-710G High-Speed Satellite Modem provides transmission of data using the same powerful DVB-S2 techniques developed for video delivery in Digital Video Broadcast (DVB) applications. It operates over satellite links with programmable symbol / data rates up to 45 Msps.

A key application for the CDM-710G is the transmission of non-transport stream data over links using popular telco and network interfaces:

CDI-10-1 G.703 at E3/T3/STS-1 data rates
CDI-60 HSSI data interface up to 70 Mbps
CDI-70 Gigabit Ethernet over all data rates
